Squealin' on the Square

Squealin' on the Square is Hopkinsville's Annual BBQ Festival and competition! Taking place this year on Friday, June 6, 2025, Founders Square will heat up all day as up to 10 teams compete for cash prizes and trophies for the best BBQ categories.

Beginning at 6 PM, the public is then invited to taste and enjoy with live music and alcoholic beverages from Casey Jones Distillery and Bluegrass Beverages. Each team will price their meals at their own discretion.

The BBQ Teams

Teams are comprised of up to five people (one head chef and assistants) and prizes will be given in three categories: chicken, ribs, and chops. Winners receive $250 and a coveted Squealin' trophy in each division.

The Band

Downtown Hopkinsville will be live with music on the Founders Square stage from 6-9 pm with Rock and Roll Pianos. This Dueling Pianos show is brought by the nationally known Felix and the Fingers keyboarders out of Hendersonville, TN.

The Party

With award winning BBQ for sale, adult beverages from multiple vendors, and live music in the open air, Squealin' on the Square kicks off a fun summer of downtown entertainment with Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation.
