Buddy Sports Camp

Buddy Sports Camp is a one-day sports camp specifically designed for children with special needs or disabilities. This camp aims to provide basic instruction in general sports including basketball, soccer, and more.

What sets this camp apart is its unique "Buddy" system, where each camper will receive personalized guidance from dedicated volunteers, allowing them to navigate the lessons at their own pace.

This inclusive approach ensures that every child, regardless of ability, can fully participate and benefit from the camp experience.

Time: 10 AM to 2 PM

Location: Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville

Registration

Registration for campers is completely free! Stop by the Thomas Street Recreation Center Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM to fill out a registration form, or click the button. Registration ends June 20th. Give us a call at 270-887-4290 for questions and concerns.

Campers

This camp is specifically for children with special needs and disabilities. It is open to children of any gender from ages 6 to 12. Each camper will be paired with a Buddy to assist them at their own pace for the duration of the camp.

Volunteers

Individuals passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of special needs children, fostering an environment of support, encouragement, and skill development are welcome to volunteer as a Buddy or a coach. Volunteers will be asked to participate in a background check.
