By providing high-quality parks, facilities, and programs, we aim to foster a sense of pride, well-being, and connection among Hopkinsville residents.

Who we are:

The Division of Parks and Recreation is established as a part of the Public Works Department for the city of Hopkinsville. Our division is run by 13 full-time employees who manage all aspects of 18 playgrounds, 3 athletic complexes, and a variety of other facilities.

We work continuously with other city agencies, local business, and corporate sponsors to support the activities offered through our offices each year. The award winning division has been recognized on a state level for outstanding service to the community for the past 9 years.

Our division maintains over 16 park sites, which includes 4 multi-purpose soccer fields, 5 lighted softball fields, 6 pavilions, a recreation center, and a variety of other recreation activities.
